THE GREAT HNRNPH2 WALK 2023

WE’RE WALKING 100K IN a day FOR HNRNPH2 CHILDREN
HNRNPH2 Neurodevelopmental Disorder is an ultra-rare genetic condition affecting children like Autumn. HNRNPH2 impacts every part of these children’s lives. Walking. Talking. Eating. What we take for granted, they take on their shoulders every day. Add on social anxiety, seizures, and scoliosis and everyday life becomes even more challenging.
WE’RE WALKING for the cure
We need to raise more research funds to drive further understanding how to switch off the ‘faulty’ HNRNPH2 gene (animal studies have demonstrated this is possible). The roadmap to a cure is a reality and the only hope to help our children develop and lead their lives to the fullest. We need your support to fund the scientists work on the path to a cure
WE’RE WALKING because it’s hard
Without a cure, HNRNPH2 children will most likely spend their entire lives in care. They need round-the-clock help and as much as help as support as possible to aid their learning and development. Hope is important. Help is vital. Walking is the first step.

We’re encouraging everyone who wants to join the walk to walk as much as they can, whatever they can.
A team of core Great walkers will be taking on the challenge of 100km in 24 hours. Other walkers will join along the way, some for a 100 metres, some for 10 kilometres.
Starting in Bletchley at 10am Saturday 9th September we’ll be aiming to reach the finish line by 10am Sunday 10th September.

RAISING £10K FOR RESEARCH
We’re raising funds to help the Yellow Brick Road Project and the research they support.
The Yellow Brick Road Project is an incredible charity set up by HNRNPH2 parents that is funding groundbreaking research teams to better understand how H2 impacts children and how a cure could be developed for future human trials.
